Redtrack win Hollyoaks Music Show
Ten weeks of great competition and thousands of votes later, Redtrack won the opportunity to appear in an episode of Hollyoaks (televised on Tuesday, February 16 2010).On their success, Redtrack said: “We were up against some really good bands and we were all really evenly matched, so to win the unsigned act competition is fantastic! We’ve now become mates with a couple of the bands from the show and we met Chipmunk, so it’s been a really good experience for us. Our mentor Hollie-Jay helped us a lot. She was really cool and supportive.”
Holly jay: “I’m really chuffed Redtrack won the competition. They’re a wicked band. I like them so much that I’ve now recorded a song with them. I went in the studio with them a week after we recorded the music show because I thought that they were that wicked! It turned out we had three or four mutual friends, so we met up and partied hard!”
Redtrack announce more European dates
Redtrack have just announced further European festival and gig dates in June, July and August.
They are due to play the Galerie Café in Munchengladbach in Germany on June 4th, the Gideon Festival on June 5th and Red Ribbon Rocks Festival in Utrecht on June 11th.
Drummer, Andy Perry spoke recently about touring Europe, "We are so glad to be getting offered more dates in Holland and Germany this year. European crowds are unreal! They always go mad for it."
Redtrack give away exclusive acoustic tracks
The band is planning to upload some exclusive acoustic songs that they recorded recently in Southend. "These songs are very different from anything we've given away before; they show a much more stripped back side to our music," commented lead singer, Billy Wright.
